Senior Developer (Java)

Our Customer is one of the biggest Ukrainian banks. The bank has a complex integration platform (hosted on-prem) which interconnects all bank systems together for data exchange. The bank is considering changing the platform to a less complex cloud-optimal solution. HBM has proposed the architecture of the new solution and now is responsible for implementing POC based on it. We are going to build a cloud-agnostic solution, initially hosted on AWS.

We are looking for a Senior Developer skilled in Java who has a proven track record of integration projects implementation. The qualified candidate will take the leading role in the POC implementation.

Planned tech stack and tools includes Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST API, ORMs (PostgreSQL), Git, Kafka + Kafka Connect, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, and Prometheus.

• Develop from scratch a modern, cloud-agnostic ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) solution. The solution is to be based on the microservice architecture with Kubernetes, Kafka and Kafka-Connect
• Work together with the Solution Architect on the HBM side, contribute to proposed solution architecture, suggest improvements
• Deliver high quality code and documentation
• Use software development best practices, considering security and performance

• 5+ years of enterprise experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST API
• Experience developing integration solutions (ideally, ESB pattern)
• Experience with ORM / Data Access framework backed by PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka
• Knowledge of unit testing techniques and frameworks
• Experience with microservice-driven systems
• Basic experience with Docker
• Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with stakeholders on multiple levels, proactiveness
• Action and quality-oriented
• Responsible and loyal, team player  

WOULD BE A PLUS

• Familiarity with Change Data Capture method and Debezium platform in particular
• Familiarity with Kafka Connect platform;
• Integration testing techniques and frameworks
• Understanding principles of logging / monitoring / tracing of distributed systems
